Each student receives a band or card that must be scanned by Customer Service before every lesson to enter the pool area.

Yes, the swim school membership allows unlimited pool access with one supervising adult throughout the year.

Our instructors continuously evaluate each student’s progress and preparedness for the next level. Once they determine a swimmer is ready, they will notify the teacher in charge of a formal assessment.

Swim lesson memberships are ongoing direct debit agreements with no lock-in period or cancellation fees; we just need 14 days’ written notice to cancel.

Memberships can only be suspended for medical reasons. Medical suspensions are for a minimum of two consecutive lessons and maximum of eight missed lessons. A doctor’s note must be provided and can’t be backdated more than 30 days.

Our 25 metre indoor pool is heated to 28 degrees.

It’s normal for young kids to struggle to adjust to lessons, and most settle in within a few weeks. However, we suggest parents bring their swimwear in case their child needs extra support.

Lessons are paid through automatic bank account or credit card withdrawals every other Thursday. If a withdrawal fails, you’ll be notified via text and/or email. A $10.00 fee applies for any rejected withdrawal. If an account has two consecutive failed withdrawals, the student may lose their class spot, and swim lesson access will be cancelled. For a cancelled membership due to missed payments, you must settle the outstanding balance before re-enrolling.

No lessons are held on public holidays. If you miss a lesson due to a holiday, you can schedule a make-up per our policy.

Students get 8 make-up lessons per year.

  • You must report your/your child’s absence to be eligible for a make-up.
  • Make-ups are available with minimum 1 hour’s notice before the scheduled class.
  • Make-ups are valid for 90 days and only while the membership is active.
  • No refunds for missed lessons.
  • Make-ups can’t be booked more than 7 days in advance and can’t be moved/rebooked.
  • Make-ups are subject to availability.
  • Make-up lessons are non-transferable and cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, or redeemed for cash or a refund.

Swimsuit, towel, goggles, and dry clothes to change into after. Children often get hungry post-lesson, so a drink and snack are a good idea.

You’re welcome to capture memories on camera/video, but respect others’ privacy. Camera/video use is allowed under these conditions:

  • You must have consent from all individuals in images.
  • It’s illegal to broadcast/publish images without consent.

Under no circumstances can cameras/videos/phones be used in changing areas.

Our instructors hold accredited Swimming & Water Safety Teaching certificates, current CPR certification, and working with children clearances. All infant lesson teachers have specialized additional qualifications.

Goggles aren’t required for our program; however, we highly recommend kids practice with and without them. Goggles can significantly impact a child’s lesson progress.

Many kids tend to close their eyes underwater without goggles, leading to disorientation and difficulty focusing on stroke technique. We offer affordable youth goggles; just ask our staff.

Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian aged 16 or over, including during swim lessons.

For Infant classes, parents must be in the water. For other levels, parents must still follow the supervision policy by constantly watching children under 10.

Under 5 – must be accompanied in the water and remain within arm’s reach.

Under 10 – must be accompanied and constantly supervised.

If your child is under 3, then a parent/guardian must be in the water during the lesson.

Swim and Survive program

The Swim and Survive program aligns with the National Swimming and Water Safety framework.

Swim and Survive is a comprehensive swimming and water safety initiative that seeks to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.

Learn to swim, swimming lessons and infant aquatics are all terms commonly used across the aquatic industry for programs that seek to build swimming skills. Swim and Survive is all of these, but most importantly it ensures that the essential components of personal survival and water safety are provided, in addition to a process of developing strong and effective swimming technique.
